The Smart Growth Summit offers continuing education credits for a variety of professional fields.

The information below outlines the continuing education opportunities available for the 2020 Virtual Smart Growth Summit.

ATTORNEYS (CLE)

The Summit was approved for 3.5 CLE hours, Course #: 7482201006 for the following sessions:

Session 2: Conscious Consumerism: Uplifting Black Businesses, October 6, 2020, 12:00pm–2pm

Session 5: Relapse or Resilience: Healthy Community Design, November 5, 2020, 12:30pm–2pm

Learning checks will occur during the session. To receive credit, participants must attend the full session and complete all learning checks. An exit survey will appear immediately after the session, in which Louisiana attorneys should provide first name, last name, email address used to access the session, and 5-digit Bar ID number. If you attended the session but did not fill out the exit survey, please email summit@cpex.org with the information requested in the exit survey.

For out of state attorneys seeking credit, it is the responsibility of the participant to determine the state requirement for submission. A certificate of completion can be provided upon request to summit@cpex.org.


PLANNERS (AICP CM)

All sessions of the 2020 Virtual Smart Growth Summit were approved for AICP CM credits. Planners may log credits and see more details at APA’s event page.


Certified Floodplain Managers (CEC)

The Summit was approved for continuing education credits for Floodplain Managers for the following sessions:

Session 1: Past, Present, & Future: Urban Adaptations for Uncertain Times, September 29, 2020, 11:00am-12:30pm (1.5 CECs)

Session 3: Time to Define the New Normal: Dr. Michael Oppenheimer on our Future Climate, October 20, 2020, 11:00am-1:00pm (2 CECs)

Session 4: Climate & COVID-19: The Diabolical Duo, October 22, 2020, 11:00am-12:30pm (1.5 CECs)

Session 5: Relapse or Resilience: Healthy Community Design, November 5, 2020, 12:30pm-2:00pm (1.5 CECs)

Session 6: Green Infrastructure in the Delta, November 18, 2020, 11:00am-12:30pm (1.5 CECs)

If you attended an approved session, please send the following information to summit@cpex.org:  first name, last name, and email address used to access the session. Once your participation has been confirmed, a brief survey will be emailed for completion. 


REALTORS (CE)

The Summit sessions completed by licensees through non-approved providers will be considered for credit by the Louisiana Real Estate Commission on an individual basis. Licensees must apply directly to the Education Division for credit toward the license renewal requirement. Submission requirements may be found in the Rules and Regulations of the Commission under Section 907. Education Hours Required for Renewal.


ENGINEERS (PDH)

The 2020 Virtual Smart Growth Summit is currently pursuing continuing education credits for Engineers. This section will be updated as credits are approved.


ARCHITECTS

The Summit sessions are available for self-reporting credit and attendees may request a certificate for number of hours attended following the Summit by emailing summit@cpex.org.


LANDSCAPE ARCHITECTS
