The Louisiana Smart Growth Summit is the premier interdisciplinary forum promoting dialogue focusing on resilience, livability, planning, design  infrastructure, development, placemaking, public transit, transportation, connectivity, policymaking and economic development.

Continuing Education

The Louisiana Smart Growth Summit offers continuing education credits for a variety of professional fields.

The information below outlines the 2016 Louisiana Smart Growth Summit's continuing education opportunities that were available for the conference. There are also links to the official websites for each if you need additional information.


ATTORNEYS (CLE)

The Summit was approved for 9 CLE hours credit. The online agenda notes which sessions this applies to (4 CLE hours on November 1 and 5 CLE hours on November 2). If you attended these sessions and returned your completed forms at the conference, these hours will be submitted by CPEX and should be reflected in the weeks following the Summit. 


    PLANNERS (AICP CM)

    The Summit was approved for all sessions for AICP CM credits. Attendees could receive a total of 13.75 hours by attending both days, including 1.5 LAW credits. To report your credits, log in to your account at www.planning.org and search for the Smart Growth Summit. This can be found under your CM Log where it says Search for CM Activities. It's a Multi event with #9114343.


    ENGINEERS (PDH)

    Sessions were available for self-reporting credit and attendees will receive a certificate for number of hours attended in November following the Summit.


    ARCHITECTS

    Sessions were available for self-reporting credit and attendees will receive a certificate for number of hours attended in November following the Summit.


    LANDSCAPE ARCHITECTS

    Sessions were available for self-reporting credit and attendees will receive a certificate for number of hours attended in November following the Summit.


    LEED PROFESSIONALS

    Sessions were available for self-reporting credit and attendees will receive a certificate for number of hours attended in November following the Summit.


    REALTORS

    The Purchase Agreement Provisions to Address Land Use & Zoning Issues course on November 2 was approved under Louisiana REALTORS education vendor for 4 hours of CE credit. If you attended this course, you can request the credit be considered by the education department to serve as credit.
